On friendship, perfumes, social entrepreneurship and world peace. The most unexpected discovery within the list. Hard to summarize but truly worth a watch. The documentary follows Barb Stegemann and the journey to her ethically sourced fragrance brand, 7virtues. It also features the 7virtues supplier and Afganistan businessman Abdullah Arsala, who's mission is cultivating roses and orange blossoms in order to fight the illegal poppy trade and its opium addiction in Afganistan. Al Jazeera's documentary shows a not so known reality of perfumery to its consumer: the origins and production of raw materials, in this case specifically Oud.
