DISSERTATION BIBLIOGRAPHY LIST BY WEBSITE

photo credits: Death & the Maiden

NOTA BENE: This bibliography will be updated and edited until late summer '22.

I feel bad for not having had the time to share the list earlier and now publishing it in such a chaotic unorganized way, so I want to quickly apologize for not currently facilitating the access at its optimal capabilities.

I warmly welcome any query, so please don't shy away - there are no dumb or wrong questions! Didi x

HOW TO BROWSE THE BIBLIOGRAPHY

The bibliography list is divided mainly by websites in order to facilitate the browsering for external inquirer.

The first part of the bibliography is listed by websites providing academic articles and book chapters.
Most of the resources are available to consult online.

The list follows blog posts and non academic articles, then books (most of them purchasable on Amazon) and
ends with multimedia resources as videos and podcasts, networks and databases of institutions and research projects dedicated to olfaction.
As accorded with some of you, I will try my best to publish the same list also by topics.

At the moment the list is not alphabetically arragned and doesn't follow a citation style, but hopefully I will provide to correct the issue in the upcoming weeks.

I also want to remind that the topics of certain literature might be disturbing, as they deal with themes related to death, religion, grief, loss etc.
I also finally want to stress once more about the need to engage critically with some of the literature presented in the bibliography:

especially in regards to journal articles drawing on emotions , memories and opinions (similarly to some documentaries and books), that do not provide scientific or empirical datas. At the same time, the list does not represent my thesis and personal opinions on perfumery and olfaction.

For example, by looking at the book The Case Against Fragrance by Kate Grenville, it does not mean I share Grenville's statements. Please form your own independent opinions by consulting institutions, organizations and professionals devoted to research and science based methodologies and discourses.

Both Reggie and I welcome  feedbacks on the bibliography format and are grateful for any advice on how to improve the accessibility of the list.
Happy consultation!
